Physical pain and emotional state
The pain may be a symptom or disease, ie acute or chronic.
The pain, when it occurs and lasts for a certain time, or for a long time, is subject to the influence of his emotional state.
Emotional situations such as stress and anxiety, depression, fear amplify (literally) the perception of pain because they increase the effect of neurotransmitters algogenic (pain) and decrease at the same time the spread of analgesic neurotransmitters (norepinephrine, serotonin, endorphins).
Emotional states of joy, fun, physical activity attenuate the perception of pain because they act the opposite: more neurotransmitters natural painkillers (see above) and less algogenic.
