TOTE
The TOTE is a problem solving strategy, is an acronym for Operating Test Exit Test.
Here is the diagram shown:

It can be seen as the model behind every behavior. Here's an example: I have to check you have the 3.
Test: I do not know what time it is
Operating: I take the watch and I look forward
Test: the clock is working and I think the time is correct
Exit: I know the time
If I became aware that the clock does not work and is broke, the first operating phase should be followed by the test that assesses the need to find another watch with a second, and so continue to make operating ...
The TOTE becomes interesting when we have to solve a problem to achieve a goal, in this case the model helps us to not leave the path in the middle but to continue until the end.
