Values
Values are the principles that make us act. Writes Robert Dilts in the book The Power of Words and the GNP ( Sleight of Mouth ):
"[...] Are the main source of motivation in our lives. When you are respected and shared, one experiences a sense of satisfaction, harmony or rapport. When they are not respected, people are often dissatisfied, inconsistent, or offenses. "
But what are the values?
The values are the answers to the question: "What is important to you in life now? And throughout your life? And in relationships with others? And leave the world? Why do what you do, what compels you to act like you act? "
The answers are:
• Health
• Love
• sharing
• honesty
• sense of family
• financial success
• respect for others
• etc ...
In fact, our objectives are the mirror of our values. If it matters to me prepare for my next marathon in Milan, my underlying values may be health, including but not limited to competition, a sense of belonging ...
The values may not only be identified by answering questions like those mentioned above, but can also be placed in hierarchical order of importance. What is most important to you: the health or creativity? Love or financial success?
